Although we monitor the state of every radio on our wireless network on a constant basis, from time to time any individual radio may stop communicating with our routers. In most cases, this is a brief, temporary situation, and the radio begins transmission again on its own. This behavior can most likely be attributed to the general susceptibility of radio waves to interference from sources ranging from cordless phones, to microwave ovens, to in-home wireless networking devices belonging to you or a neighbor somewhere within range (up to 1500 feet).

If you find your Internet connection is unavailable for any extended period of time, there may be another factor at work. We have found that the radio units can be sensitive to, (and lock up because of), fluctuations in power from the power company. To solve this, simply locate the Power Injector module attached to the cable leading in from the radio outside your premises. (This unit is a few inches square and either black with an green light or white with a green light.) Once you have found it, unplug the connector from the wall outlet", wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. This forces a reset of the radio, in essence "waking it up", and making it work again.

Do not remove or re-plug any other wires, as this can lead to damage to the radio or your networking equipment.

Mistakes can be expensive -- Please Read Below:
As a part of the Wireless Internet access network provided by Rodzoo Wireless, your computer equipment has been assigned one or more Internet Protocol (IP) addresses by Rodzoo Wireless. These addresses are to be assigned and designated by Rodzoo Wireless only. Equipment (computers, routers, etc.) connected to the Rodzoo Wireless network may only use addresses specifically assigned by Rodzoo wireless.

Do not, under any circumstances, program any IP address(es) not specifically assigned to you by Rodzoo into any equipment attached to the Rodzoo wireless network. You may inadvertently select an address already assigned to another user, and create an IP address conflict on the network. This will cause both yours and the other user's equipment to be unable to access the Internet.

If this should happen, you will be charged for all time spent locating, isolating, and reconfiguring the equipment that has caused the conflict, as well as for any time spent troubleshooting the situation with any other customers affected by the conflict you have caused. This time will be billed to you at our on-site rate of $85 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.

Also, should you wish to move or reconfigure any cabling runs from your wireless radio unit to the power module inside your premises, please call Rodzoo Wireless to have us make the cable change for you. This cable carries not only network signals, but also a DC power voltage which can damage the radio unit and/or the network connection (hub/switch/router/or interface card) inside the premises.

If we need to make a service call to repair or replace equipment damaged due to customer action of this type, you will be charged for both equipment and time to make the repair. A replacement radio unit will run at least $275.00, and labor will be a minimum of one hour at $85 per hour. Hub, switch, router, and network adapter prices will depend on current component pricing at the time of the repair.
